Multiculturalism in the City

{Disclaimer:  I am not trying to make any political statements of any kind, blah blah.  I just thought these were interesting photos.}

Sarni and I stumbled upon the Muslim Day Parade (I looked it up afterwards).  According to the New York Times, there was a lot of fear that there would be protests, given the recent controversies regarding the mosque in the financial district.  We didn't see any conflicts, although we did see an imam and a Christian street preacher arguing passionately.  On the other hand, it's New York City - I see people arguing passionately on the street every day.
